Camoniana – Open collection comprising all the bibliography by and concerning Luís de Camões, from the 16th century to the present day, currently including around 3,800 titles.

Duarte de Sousa
– This collection was put together by the bibliophile António Alberto Marinho Duarte de Sousa (1896-1950). It consists of 1,975 richly bound books with an emphasis on Portugal as seen by foreigners, and literature on the Discoveries that was published abroad.

Elzevieriana – Collection of 391 works published by various generations of the Elzevier family over the course of the 16th and 17th centuries. These works stand out for the quality of the printing and the engravings, and cover scientific topics from the period of the Discoveries, history and philosophy, classic literature, dictionaries and grammars, architecture, and the art of drawing.

Bodoniana
– This collection comprises 327 copies of works printed by the office of Giambatista Bodoni between 1768 and 1813. The majority have Italian bindings of the period.

Bindings
– A collection of 148 items that stand out for the interest and value of their bindings, which are in leather, silk or embroidered velvet. The majority date from the 18th century.

Erotica
– This section contains 172 works with an erotic/satirical theme that were published between the 18th and 20th century and were collected by Manuel Rita Martins. It includes works by the Marquis de Sade (1740-1814), Andrea Nerciat (1739-1800), Paul Verlaine (1810-1896) and Alfred Musset (1844-1896) among others, albeit the majority were anonymous or written under a pseudonym.

Legislation
– Closed, non-exhaustive, chronologically organised collection of Portuguese laws in individual printed or manuscript copies of documents dating from 1113 to 1851.
